Accepted Answer

Awara bedding comes with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you experience an issue with your bedding within that period, please reach out to our Sleep Concierge team for assistance.

Question 2

What does Awara's Forever Warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

Awara mattresses come with a Forever Warranty. If your mattress ever develops defects in materials or construction from normal use, we'll repair or replace it — no time limit, no expiration. It's the last mattress warranty you'll ever need to think about.

Question 3

How can I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Once your Awara ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this to monitor your delivery status directly with the carrier.

Question 4

Do you take away my old mattress at delivery?

Accepted Answer

White Glove Service is currently unavailable. For mattress disposal and recycling options in your area, please visit Mattress Disposal Plus or check with your local recycling services. California customers only: free mattress removal and recycling is available for California addresses — schedule a pick-up within 30 days of your new mattress delivery.

Question 5

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Awara ships free to your doorstep within the contiguous US. Additional shipping fees apply to orders delivered to Alaska and Hawaii.

Question 6

When can I expect to receive my Awara mattress?

Accepted Answer

The current shipping times will be indicated on the product page under the add to cart button. However, sometimes there are delays due to external forces.

Question 7

How will my Awara mattress be delivered?

Accepted Answer

Awara ships free for all orders being delivered in the contiguous US. Your mattress arrives rolled and compressed in weatherproof packaging. Once unpacked, you can place it on your base using 4 reinforced handles. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will incur a non-refundable shipping fee.

Question 8

What's the right Awara firmness for my sleep position?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how you sleep. Side sleepers typically do better with a surface that gives at the hip and shoulder. Back sleepers often want something with more pushback for spinal alignment. Stomach sleepers tend to need a firmer feel. Our mattress comparison guide can help you find the right fit.

Question 9

How firm are Awara mattresses?

Accepted Answer

Awara mattresses sit in the medium to medium-firm range — supportive enough for back and stomach sleepers, with enough give for side sleepers. The organic latex layer provides natural pushback without pressure. Our mattress comparison page breaks it down by sleep position if you want more guidance.

Question 10

Does an Awara mattress have a smell when first opened?

Accepted Answer

Latex has a natural, earthy scent when first unboxed — that's the latex, not synthetic chemicals. It typically fades within a few days. Open a window and give it some air; it clears quickly.

Question 11

What materials is an Awara mattress made with?

Accepted Answer

GOLS-certified organic latex. New Zealand Farm Assured wool. Individually wrapped coils. That's the core of every Awara Classic and Premier mattress — materials you can verify, not just claims. The latex is certified organic by the Global Organic Latex Standard. The wool is sourced from New Zealand Farm Assured farms. Fiberglass-free construction, Prop 65 compliant. The Awara Essential uses responsive latex and wool quilting for comfort and breathability.

Question 12

How do I care for my Awara mattress?

Accepted Answer

To keep your Awara in great condition, rotate it head-to-foot every 3–6 months. Spot clean the cover with mild detergent and cold water. We recommend using a mattress protector to guard against spills and stains and extend the life of your mattress.

Question 13

Which mattress size is right for me?

Accepted Answer

Start with your space and who's sleeping in it. Twin and Full work well for solo sleepers or smaller rooms. Queen fits most couples comfortably. King and California King give you the most room — Cal King trades a little width for extra length, which tends to work better for taller sleepers.

Question 14

What's the difference between a hybrid and an all-foam mattress?

Accepted Answer

Hybrid mattresses layer comfort materials on top of individually wrapped coils. The coils add airflow, edge support, and durability that all-foam beds can't match. Awara mattresses use organic latex — not memory foam — which responds and breathes differently. Latex pushes back rather than conforming; the coils underneath add ventilation and longevity.

Question 15

How long does an Awara mattress take to expand?

Accepted Answer

Latex expands quickly — your Awara is ready to sleep on within a few hours of unboxing. Give it up to 72 hours to reach its full shape.

Question 16

Can I flip my Awara mattress?

Accepted Answer

No — Awara mattresses are designed to be used right-side-up only. The layers are engineered in a specific order for comfort and support, and flipping would affect how the mattress performs. You can rotate it head-to-foot every six months to maintain even wear and extend its lifespan.

Question 17

Can I flip my Awara mattress?

Accepted Answer

No — Awara mattresses are designed to be used right-side-up only. The layers are engineered in a specific order for comfort and support, and flipping would affect how the mattress performs. You can rotate it head-to-foot every six months to maintain even wear and extend its lifespan.

Question 18

Does Awara mattress sleep hot?

Accepted Answer

No, Awara mattresses generally do not sleep hot. Awara’s natural latex is one of the most comfortable sleeping materials on the planet. This natural latex helps provide pressure-relieving support and does not retain heat like some memory foam mattresses do, ensuring that you’ll sleep comfortably every night.

Question 19

How do Awara returns work?

Accepted Answer

Get in touch via chat, email, or phone and we'll take it from there. We coordinate pickup and process your refund. Returned Awara mattresses are donated locally — so your return does some good on the way out.

Question 20

What if I need to cancel my order?

Question 24

What's behind the Awara brand?

Accepted Answer

Awara is built on one premise: what your mattress is made of matters. Every Awara mattress uses natural latex and wool — no synthetic foams, no vague material claims. Our Classic and Premier go further, with GOLS-certified organic latex, New Zealand Farm Assured wool, and FSC-certified latex sources — materials with standards you can actually look up. Honest sourcing. Natural comfort you can feel.

If you’re interested in upgrading your bed frame, we’ve designed 3 unique bed frames to suit your needs and budget. (Our Queen size platform bed frame is just $400.)
